I’m back in the states and so excited to share photos from Rome, Italy! I was only there for 3 days so I’m extremely exhausted but I had an amazing trip. Rome is such a beautiful city filled with culture and amazing art. I highly encourage you to visit, you won’t be disappointed.
The first day consisted of a visit to the Colosseum to discover Ancient Rome, delicious authentic Italian food in Vatican City, and then I finished off the day at the Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain).

So I had a bit of a misunderstanding with the Trevi Fountain myths. Before arriving we read that you were supposed to toss 1 coin over your right shoulder. We had it so wrong hahaha!! We later found out that the actual ritual was to toss 3 coins with your right hand over your left shoulder. The first coin guarantees your return to Rome, the second will ensure a new romance, and the third will ensure marriage. On the brighter side of me not getting a new romance; the coins in the Trevi Fountain go towards a better cause than my own wishes. The city of Rome donates the coins thrown in the Trevi Fountain to charity (averaging at about 3,000 euros a night). Maybe sacrificing my new romance wasn’t so bad after all.
