HOURGLASS Veil Mineral Primer

Recently, Influenster sent the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer to me complimentary for testing. Many beauty bloggers have been raving about this being one of the best primers for oily skin. So I was excited to put it to the test.

As I have stated many times before primers are the foundation to long lasting makeup by smoothing the surface of your skin. The Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is a mineral-based, water-resistant primer that neutralizes the skin, minimizes shine, and creates a smooth, uniform canvas for flawless makeup application. This clean, satin-finish formula helps keep makeup looking fresh and prevents fading. The Veil Mineral Primer also absorbs excess oils and minimizes the appearance of pores by evenly distributing light to help hide and soften the look of skin imperfections and fine lines.

From the Brand:

“Before I developed Veil Mineral Primer, I wasn’t a big fan of using makeup primers. They always felt like an extra and unnecessary step in your makeup regimen. But then I started working with a chemist on the idea of a next generation primer, and, after numerous incarnations, we came up with Veil. It was unlike any other primer I had seen—it was silky in texture, it concealed redness, it repelled water so your foundation lasts longer, and it had an SPF. I felt like it delivered in so many ways that I knew it had earned a place in my daily routine.”—Carisa Janes, Hourglass Founder

AmbraSimone Review:

For one week, after cleansing and moisturizing, I used this primer before applying my Makeup Forever HD Foundation. The combination was incredible! But even when paired with other liquid foundation this primer is silky and lightweight. Throughout the day my matte finish remained flawless with minimal blotting. I can see this product working for many skin types and it is formulated with no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.  This product will definitely be a staple for my summer routine. I was extremely impressed with the results and I can’t wait to see how well it holds up to the New York humidity.
