Bushwick Bites & Street Art

This past weekend I teamed up with Blogger Babes and NYC Tours for a one of a kind NYC experience, a Photo Safari!

NYC Tours & Photo Safaris was founded in 2014 by New York native and professional photographer Jessie Festa. Originally the tours were offered as an extension of her solo female and offbeat travel blog, Jessie on a Journey, as readers would ask her to build local NYC itineraries for them and show them around. Over the years the company has grown and now offers multiple tours for guest to experience NYC in a flash!

First things first, this yellow faux leather jacket! I had to have it. It’s such a vibrant staple for Spring / Summer. I paired it with the light blue striped blouse and jeans for a color contrast. This outfit made me so excited for Spring but sadly its still a little chilly outside.

To kick off our tour I headed over to Bushwick, Brooklyn, NYC’s most up and coming neighborhood. NYC Tours described it as “gritty and passionate with vibrant street art, German #beer history, people watching opportunities, hipster shops and a melting pot of culture.”

The biggest highlight of the tour is the outdoor street gallery known as the Bushwick Collective, which begins on Jefferson Street and continues on Troutman Street towards Saint Nicholas Avenue.

The tour also included:

  • A look at historic #architecture and German breweries from the 1800s in Bushwick.
  • A make-your-own cappuccino #coffee experience.
  • A visit to a decadent raw #chocolate factory, including samples.

This was by far one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. If you’re ever in NYC be sure to check out NYC Tours. If you’re not interested in street art other tours highlighting skylines and bridges are available. For more details check it out HERE.
