Street Style – NYFW Edition Day 2

The Outfit:

Lately, I’ve been really into the Boho Chic trend. It comes off very effortless and feminine. So for Day 2, I decided to wear this Who What Wear flowy floral printed maxi dress with my snack skin ankle booties. I really like how the contrast of patterns came together. Me trick to paring printed shoes with patterned clothing is to pair it matching the dominant colors. For this bootie, black and off white are dominate colors which are both in the dress pattern. Also, I forgot to mention this dress was a steal! $35 at Target! Yes ladies, Target carries the Who What Wear collection. It’s by far one of my favorite hidden gems because it’s consistently on trend and curated by the editors at Who What Wear.

Trends Spotted:

From the shows: off the shoulder isn’t dying anytime soon, so make sure to keep those off the shoulder dresses and tops for next season. Embellishments and florals were also king on the runway, and I would highly recommend picking up an embellished/floral accessory of some sort next spring just to shake things up (because lord knows how many floral dresses I already own!)

From the streets: I couldn’t tell you how many editors and bloggers I saw wearing white ankle booties. I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy a pair of white booties, because I predict this trend is going to be hot this fall. I also saw a lot of chic matching suits in vibrant colors. Which I loved! I’m such a suit girl, so happy their back in style!

Street Style – NYFW Edition Day 1

Happy Fashion Month everyone! This year I didn’t attend as many shows as I usually do so I was little more laxed with my attire. Plus, I’ve been itching to wear my Nike Classic Cortez sneakers for the first time. After years of wanting these shoes I finally found them!! Mind you, this is the only souvenir I purchased while in Paris. I styled them with this oversized blazer and mom jeans. An oversized blazer is another must-have for Fall. It’s all about power dressing this season and let me tell you, this way of dressing really does make you feel like a boss!

Refinery29 – 29Rooms at NYFW

These days with the social media craze, it seems like everyone is searching for the latest and greatest and most Instagram-able moments. Refinery 29 understands this inherently and has created Refinery ’29 Rooms’ to draw us all into their creative, fashionable world.

The transformed 80,000-square-foot warehouse felt like a cool, artsy maze. Each room tackled social issues, sexuality, love, and creativity with company partners such as Ulta Beaty, Planned Parent Hood, and Caspers. I literally was so anxious waiting in line to take photos that I had to mentatlly tell myself, “Ambra it’s just a picture” (LOL). But Refinery29 seamlessly created a space that instagram moment seekers like my self dream of!
